The Culture Behind the Flavor
The Orem outpost of the Venezuelan arepa shop, tucked into the food hall at University Place. Arepas are griddled to order and stuffed with reina pepiada (chicken and avocado salad), shredded beef, or black beans and cheese. Tequeños and patacones cover the snack side, and the papelón con limón (raw-sugarcane limeade) is the drink to get. Fast, affordable, and a genuine change of pace from the mall’s usual lineup.
