The Culture Behind the Flavor
Arepas split and stuffed to order anchor the menu at this Union Square storefront, with reina pepiada and pabellon the two to start with. Cachapas, tequenos and patacones fill out the rest, and the tres leches is made in house. Weekend hours stretch to eleven at night, which makes it one of the later Latin kitchens in the south valley. Weekdays open at noon. Small room, so expect a wait Friday.
